چکیده
The postdoc position will be associated with the Computer Science Laboratory at Ecole Polytechnique (LIX) and will be supervised by Dominique Rossin, Eric Goubault, Samuel Mimram and Emmanuel Haucourt. The lab is composed of about a hundred researchers, and is associated with CNRS and INRIA through joint research projects. Ecole Polytechnique is one of the most famous engineering schools in France, with a great tradition and excellence in science and technology. Students are highly selected, begin their studies at the end of undergraduate level, and can carry over until a Ph.D. The postdoc position will also be linked to a collaborative research project involving some industrial partners in the security and IT domain, as well as the applied mathematics department (CMAP) of Ecole Polytechnique. Mathematically, CMAP is involved in the de nition of numerical ltering methods. LIX is involved in the parallelization of the code on GPUs, in particular on an NVIDIA K20 graphical card running under CUDA.

Interleaving and Lock-Step Semantics for Analysis and Verification of GPU Kernels
We study semantics of GPU kernels — the parallel programs that run on Graphics Processing Units (GPUs). We provide a novel lock-step execution semantics for GPU kernels represented by arbitrary reducible control flow graphs and compare this semantics with a traditional interleaving semantics. We show for terminating kernels that either both semantics compute identical results or both behave err...
متن کاملOn Static Timing Analysis of GPU Kernels
We study static timing analysis of programs running on GPU accelerators. Such programs follow a data parallel programming model that allows massive parallelism on manycore processors. Data parallel programming and GPUs as accelerators have received wide use during the recent years. The timing analysis of programs running on single core machines is well known and applied also in practice. Howeve...
متن کاملExploratory Data Analysis of Software Repositories via GPU Processing
Analyzing software repositories with thousands of artifacts is data intensive, which makes interactive exploration analysis of such data infeasible. We introduce a novel approach, Dominoes, that can support automated exploration of relationships amongst project elements, where users have the flexibility to explore on the fly the numerous types of project relationships. Dominoes organizes data e...
متن کاملAnalysis of GPU Parallel Computing based on Matlab
Mingzhe Wang, Bo Wang, Qiu He, Xiuxiu Liu, Kunshuai Zhu (School of Computer and Control Engineering, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Huairou, Beijing 101408, China) Abstract: Matlab is very widely used in scientific computing, but Matlab computational efficiency is lower than C language program. In order to improve the computing speed, some toolbox can use GPU to accelerate the compu...

Enabling OS Research by Inferring Interactions in the Black-Box GPU Stack
General-purpose GPUs now account for substantial computing power on many platforms, but the management of GPU resources—cycles, memory, bandwidth— is frequently hidden in black-box libraries, drivers, and devices, outside the control of mainstream OS kernels. We believe that this situation is untenable, and that vendors will eventually expose sufficient information about cross-black-box interac...
